At OLEO Bodycare only the finest ingredients are used. However, some names may not be familiar, so here is a brief explanation:

• Almond oil ~ for dry, irritated skin. Rich in vitamins, mono & polyunsaturated fatty acids
• Aloe vera ~ soothing humectant & moisturiser
• Ammonium chloride ~ viscosity adjuster
• Apricot oil ~ for mature/dry skin
• Aqua ~ water!
• Argan oil ~ rich in vitamin E.  Moisturises dry skin
• Arnica oil ~ relieves sore muscles
• Avocado oil ~ rich emollient oil
• Beeswax ~ wax thickener
• Bentonite clay ~ highly absorptive, helps draw impurities from the skin
• Benzyl alcohol ~ preservative & solvent, naturally occurs in some essential oils
• Betaine ~ mild detergent/solubiliser/surfactant
• Bisabolol ~ skin soothing oil component
• Borage oil ~ rich in GLA, soothing & moisturising
• C12-13 Pareth-3 ~ an emulsifier
• Capric Triglyceride ~ fractionated coconut oil (emollient)
• Carbopol ~ stabilizer
• Calendula oil ~ antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, soothing, repairs skin tissue
• Caprylyl glycol ~ preservative
• Carrot oil ~ rich in beta-carotene, vits. A,B,C,D,E & F
• Ceteareth 20 ~ emulsifier
• Cetearyl alcohol ~ plant-derived, emulsifies & thickens, emollient
• Cetyl alcohol ~ plant-derived, binds, thickens, softens
• Chamomile water ~ very soothing
• Citric acid ~ regulates Ph level & preservative
• Cocoa butter ~ rich emollient
• Coconut diethanolamide ~ emulsifier
• Coconut oil ~ for dry, irritated skin. Conditions the hair
• Epsom salts ~ mineral salts of magnesium sulphate.  Relieve sore muscles, detoxifying and relaxing
• Evening primrose oil ~ emollient oil with high level of GLA
• Fatty alcohol ~ emollient
• Geranium floral water ~ balancing, cooling
• Ginseng extract ~ anti-inflammatory herbal extract
• Glyceryl stearate ~ emulsifying wax component
• Glycerol ~ solvent & humectant properties. Helps skin retain moisture
• Green tea extract ~ contains antioxidants to help fight free radicals
• Hazelnut oil ~ highly penetrating, useful for oily skin
• Isopropyl myristate ~ emollient
• Jojoba oil ~ rich emollient oil
• Kaolin ~ absorbs moisture, helps draw impurities from the skin thus providing deep-cleansing & purifying action
• Lactic Acid ~ pH adjuster
• Macadamia Oil ~ rich emollient oil
• Mango Butter ~ rich emollient butter
• Marine Collagen ~ protein source for moisturisation & skin repair
• Nettle extract ~ stimulates circulation, maintains healthy skin & hair
• Olive oil ~ rich emollient oil
• Phenoxyethanol ~ mild preservative, safe on the skin
• PEG-40 ~ mild surfactant (solulbiliser for essential oils)
• PEG-100 stearate ~ emulsifier
• Plum kernel oil ~ aromatic, readily absorbed, skin softening oil
• Pomegranate seed oil ~ rich and nutritious.  Fights free radicals and skin ageing
• Potassium sorbate ~ emulsifier, preservative
• Rosehip seed oil ~ rich in vitamin C.  For ageing skin, wrinkles, dry, devitalised skin.  Aids cellular regeneration
• Rosewater ~ soothing & cooling, good for dry & sensitive skin
• Seabuckthorn oil ~ combats wrinkles and dry skin
• Sea salt ~ rich in minerals, cleansing & exfoliant action
• Sesame oil ~ strengthens & nourishes the skin
• Shea butter ~ rich emollient butter
• Silk Powder ~ protein source for moisturisation & skin repair
• Sodium chloride ~ thickener
• Stearic Acid ~ thickener
• Sunflower oil ~ vitamin-rich, good for dry skin
• Vegetable glycerine ~ moisturising humectant
• Vitamin B5 ~ skin nourisher
• Vitamin E (tocopherol) ~ nourishing, protects skin from environmental effects
• Walnut shells ~ crushed to provide a gentle and effective exfoliant
• Wheatgerm oil ~ vitamin E-rich, good for dry, damaged, scarred skin
• Witchazel ~ soothing & antiseptic, useful on oily, blemished skin
• Xanthum gum ~ mild thickener, emulsifier & stabiliser
• Zinc oxide ~ forms a protective barrier on skin, mild astringent properties
