Aromatherapy

Essential oils are volatile, highly concentrated aromatic substances, which have a long tradition of use in natural medicine, perfume, incense, skin and health care. Using essential oils for therapeutic purposes is known as aromatherapy and has been practised for thousands of years. It is a form of complementary therapy designed to treat the whole person and not just the symptom or disease by assisting the body's natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself.

Essential oils are found in various parts of plants such as leaves, berries, grasses, flowering tops, petals, roots, zest of fruit, resins and wood.

We have chosen the suppliers of our essential oils very carefully.  Consequently all of our oils are 100% pure and rich in therapeutic properties.

Carrier oils which are also known as oil bases or vegetable oils are an essential part of aromatherapy. They are extracted from the fatty portion of a plant, such as the kernels, seeds or the nuts. Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils and other oils before applying them to your skin, which is where the term ‘carrier oil’ derives from, 'carrying' the oil on to the skin.

This type of oil contains fat soluble minerals, vitamins and other nutrients and can provide different therapeutic properties.
